Looking ahead to the CIPD People Management Awards

We're just one day away from the CIPD People Management Awards Gala Evening, where Capp is nominated for two awards.

Capp is nominated for Best International HR Initiative with GSK and Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative for its work with EY.

Capp has partnered with GSK since 2016 as the company reviewed how it selected candidates for its Apprenticeships, Future Leaders, and Esprit Programmes. Together, they have worked to develop a solution that immerses candidates in GSK, its values, and its everyday life. Called ‘The World of GSK Talent Screen’, it delivers consistent first stage assessment in over 70 countries, assessing candidates and providing an engaging, positive and immersive candidate experience.

The World of GSK Talent Screen is the first of its kind to be implemented globally. Already, 20,000 candidates have completed the first stages of the assessment, with positive feedback from over 90 per cent of those providing feedback. Capp and GSK are now working on delivering the next stages – Job Simulation and Assessment Centre – this Autumn.

Capp's partnership with EY has blossomed over the past 10 years, with a focus on driving social mobility a key component to the relationship. With clear D&I objectives set by the EY Leadership Team, their robust recruitment process focuses on an individual’s strengths and future potential rather than academic performance.

EY took the bold step to remove the upfront academic screening criteria (300 UCAS points and 2.1 degree) and operate a ‘CV blind’ recruitment process. The removal of upfront barriers has created a level playing field for candidates, and hires across all diversity pillars have seen improvement.

Capp recently won Best Outstanding Supplier Contribution at the ISE Student Recruitment Awards 2018 - the fourth award win so far this year.
